Maryland Department of Natural Resources: The Maryland Department of Natural Resources is the state agency that oversees the management and wise use of the living and natural resources of the Chesapeake Bay and its tributaries. Maryland Department of the Environment: MDE's mission is to protect andrestore the quality of Maryland's air, land, and water resources,while fostering economic development, healthy and safe communities, and quality environmental education for the benefitof the environment, public health, and future generations.
